Methodology: How the comparison works
This page explains how GPU Radar collects, sorts and evaluates prices and offers. It is part of our transparency obligation to users, providers and authorities.
Automated collection
Data comes from automated fetches at European GPU shops and hosting providers. We capture offer titles, prices, availability, currency, billing period and region. The main sources are documented in the API under
/providers. Collection runs usually every 2 hours.
Update cadence
The price collector usually runs every 2 hours (see collector schedule). Short-term deviations may therefore occur between collection and display in the portal; the timestamp per offer is authoritative.
Ranking and sorting
By default we sort offers and GPU lists by cheapest price (ascending). Commissions from affiliate partnerships do not influence ranking or presentation. Available sort options include name, release year, VRAM, price ascending/descending, hosting price and EUR per GB.
Reference prices and price drops
For price-drop displays we use the lowest price of the last 30 days as the reference price (§ 11 PAngV / Art. L112-1-1 Code de la consommation). Price histories and statistics are non-binding evaluations; they do not create any claim to a specific purchase or rental price.
Currencies and exchange rates
Offers are shown in their original currency (e.g. EUR or USD). For internal comparisons, sorting and "best price" calculations we normalise values to EUR. This normalisation is an internal evaluation and not a real exchange-rate guarantee. The USD→EUR reference rate used, including rate date, is available at /api/v1/stats/fx.
Hosting prices and monthly conversion
Hosting offers are shown in their billing period (per hour or per month). For comparability we convert hourly prices to a monthly value using the 730-hour convention (730 hours per month). On-demand vs. reserved tariffs and region labels remain visible.
Buy vs. rent – calculation example
The amortisation calculation "Buying pays for itself after ~X months" is based on the current shop price and the cheapest hourly hosting rate, converted using 730 h/month. It is a non-binding example without guarantee; individual usage profiles, electricity costs and tariff details may change the result.
Quality assurance and error correction
Every collection run passes plausibility checks (GPU names, price values, availability). Obvious outliers are suppressed and logged. Merchants and providers can report errors or request a counter-statement under § 20 MStV at info@accelerando.company. We usually process justified requests within 2 working days.
